Just like what I said in my post entitled 9 Things I Learned When I Turned 30, always count all your blessings – great and small. Our lives will never be perfect and there will always be something that we may want, but let us also learn to be thankful for what is in front of us and not be busy looking for something that we do not have.
Think about this:
Say you had a very bad day at work like a very sucky day! Realize that despite a stressful day at work, you still have:
- a house to go home when you leave the office;
- a bed to lay your body so you can have a good rest;
- a TV, a handphone and internet to keep you entertained;
- What about that good dinner you are having? 😀
While some people are homeless, jobless, hungry or may even be suffering from a disease, here you are having a bad day and ranting (in social media) as if you were the most forsaken person in the world.
All I am saying is, I personally believe that it is always about perspective. Since the day I read this quote, I always kept it in my heart and the thought helped me get through the tough times. Remember when I got my leg burned? Yeah, I still managed to be thankful because really, I should. 😀
