Galeries Lafayette

This flagship store located at the Boulevard Haussmann (9th arrondissement) in Paris,  began its journey towards success in 1893 when Théophile Bader and his cousin Alphonse Kahn took over the lease of a small haberdashery shop at the corner of rue La Fayette and the Chaussée d’Antin,

A haberdasher is a person who sells small articles for sewing, such as buttons, ribbons, zips, and other notions (in the United Kingdom) or a men’s outfitter (American English). A haberdasher’s shop or the items sold therein are called haberdashery.

Angelina Tea Room Paris Review2

ANGELINA Paris Tea Salon

Petit Plaisir is a French phrase that means small pleasure. In Rory Satran’s article entitled In Paris Living Large for Less, published on The Washington Post website, he described the idea behind this concept as:

Hotel Antin Saint Georges – The Good, The Bad & The Ugly

For starters, the hotel was not our personal preference for this trip. Despite the bad reviews that I read online, I just told myself to be ready, make the most out of it and what else could be worse than our stay at that old Harris Hotel in Batam, Indonesia last 2013? So yes, I was ready and have not set so much expectation for this one.

Paris is always a good idea.

– Audrey Hepburn, Sabrina

In response to The Daily Post’s weekly photo challenge: “New.”

Do you believe in New Year’s Resolution?

Do you have your own set of resolutions?

I will be a hypocrite if I say yes, because for the past 29 years of my life, I was never bothered to actually think about my how my year has been and what my coming year must be.

So what made you change your mind this time?

 Here are the reasons why:

Paris and its Festive Mood

(All photos were taken using phone camera).

Before the year 2014 ends, I want to share some of the photos that I captured from our recent trip to Paris. Plus, it is the time for family, relatives and friends to have get-together parties or coffee dates. So yes, our schedules are tight. 🙂 Soon as this holidays’ over, we shall be back to our regular programming. Read More
