How My Decision To Be A Stay-at-Home Wife Helped Me Live a Better Life

I guess you can never really say never because at some point in your life, something will happen or someone will come to your life and change your decisions forever.

July 2014 – I submitted my resignation letter to my previous company as we (me and my husband) decided that I will be a Stay-at-home-wife (SAHW) and this time, it will for a longer time or maybe a permanent one. Read More

Being Appropriate: Right Dress at the Right Age

Before hitting my 30th birthday, one of the main issues that I was itching to address was my wardrobe. I kept browsing and browsing for articles and tips on how a woman in her 30’s should dress. Thankfully, I found a few but my satisfaction was not met because I felt that there are things left unexplained or maybe I was expecting something more from them. I was looking for an in-depth advice. I wanted to have a better understanding so I would know if I need to start overhauling my closet. Read More

Bobbi Brown Vintage Red, Red Carpet and NARS Jungle Red Lip Liner – Photos, Reviews and Swatches

They say that looking for the perfect red lipstick is challenging and I agree to that. The key is knowing your correct undertone. For my case, I go for the blue undertone as they are very flattering when I wear them.  (Check here for more tips on choosing the best lipstick for your skin.)  Before hitting my late 20’s, I’m always wearing nudes and pinks. I stayed away from corals as I feel that they make my teeth look yellowish, but thinking now, maybe I was not getting the right shade back then. Read More

Madame Tussaud’s Singapore

Our last stop, before they went back to Manila, was the newly-opened Madame Tussaud’s Singapore. I booked online and got their Early Bird ticket price valued at SGD 20.00. The museum opened last October 25th, and we went to visit on their 2nd week.  It is located at the Imbiah Station in Sentosa. From Harbourfront Station, you have to take a short ride using the Sentosa monorail and alight on the purple station (2nd station).  After you go out of the monorail, you have to walk for around 7 minutes including the escalator ride to reach the Madame Tussaud’s Museum. S.E.A Aquarium & The Maritime Experiential Museum

I would like to share with you the photos that I took last year when we went to the S.E.A. Aquarium and The Maritime Experiential Museum.

All the photos were shot by yours truly using Samsung S4.

The Maritime Experiential Museum

The Maritime Experiential Museum is the only museum in Singapore where visitors can experience Asia’s rich maritime history and discover Singapore’s past as a trading port. This trip back in time begins along the ancient Maritime Silk Route, which recreates the sights, sounds and scents of the bustling bazaars and where you can interact with the exhibits.

Ever heard of the term Digital Detox? I came across with this term just this year while reading Arianna Huffington’s book, Thrive. In her book, Digital Detox was explained where the person unplugs herself from all the gadgets that we have on this modern day. That means not holding your hand phone and checking on your social sites, work email included. A bit harsh, isn’t it? But like any other detox, it is hard in the beginning but it gets better after.

Little White Lies

Today’s exercise gave me the chance to take my time and see my fellow bloggers’ take on yesterday’s prompt – the Truth Serum.  I read a lot of interesting responses but there is one read that stood out. (well, of course this is based in my personal opinion, so calm down.) 🙂

I am referring to Kiri’s entry entitled, “Is Honesty the best policy?”.  Here is a beautiful excerpt from her post:

We lie to our children all the time to maintain the innocence of youth and the magic of fairy tales. We lie to our family and friends to conceal surprises – parties, presents, big announcements. We lie to people to protect them, knowing that confirming their fear that their latest haircut was a really bad idea is going to be counter-productive. Little white lies can save feelings and marriages –

What If You Don’t Wear Any Makeup On Your First Date?

I was spending an afternoon at a mall and I am at my usual coffee shop, sitting and trying to play with some ideas in my head.  While I enjoy observing the people around me a thought popped in my mind.. What if the ladies won’t wear makeups on the first date? Will that be a game changer?  Will there be a second or third date? Read More
